五、报告简介:

Textiles today are innovative, life-saving, creative, global and thriving. With the wide range of innovative textiles being developed and introduced every day, there is an increased recognition of the importance of textiles as building block materials for new product development, and advanced technologies are redefining new application segments such as life science, information technology, environment and nanotechnology.  Sustainability is also a top concern for manufacturers and fashion brands, and innovation in the entire development and production chain can help reduce environmental impacts and promote sustainable manufacturing.  Faculty, staff and students in the College of Textiles at NC State University are working with the textile and related industries to assume social responsibility and form our future actively.  This presentation highlights some textile and related research activities in the College of Textiles at NC State University.
